And some people say knee wrestling is useless...

His sub grappling is pretty fucking amazing considering his condition. I've rolled with him. His lack of complete limbs is actually an advantage. The only kind of joint lock that's remotely possible is a shoulder lock, but even that's damn near impossible because of the lack of leverage you get on such a short limb. About the only hope for a submission is a RNC. However, he's really good at defending those as I recall (been like a year and a half since I rolled with him).

Oh, and he did tap me with a head an arm.

His upper body is ripped as HELL too. So while being like 10lbs lighter than I am, he has the torso of someone 70-80lbs heavier. He's a monster on the ground.
His problem in MMA would be getting the fight there. I have no idea if he has any takedowns or anything...

Yes he does. He's got a pretty surprising single leg.

What fighter would take the fight? I knew a guy who had disfigured arms (think like pencil sized trex arms) who wanted to fight mma. I couldn't fathom how you would find a fighter to take that fight. Win or Lose you still look like a fool.
At any respectable level MMA is a job not a hobby. These guys are not going (or I'd hope not) to risk their future on such poor move.
I respect the guy for having the balls to overcome his handicap, but he needs to realize sometimes there really are limits to what you can do."a martial art that has no rules is nothing but violence" - Kenji Tomiki

That's pretty much the stance most people have, me included.

I think the way society feels is that is like fighting a female in MMA, kinda of a lose-lose situation. It would be interesting to train with Kyle Maynard though.Surfing Facebook at work? Spread the good word by adding us on Facebook today! https://www.facebook.com/Bullshido

After watching that video I can say I would never want to run into someone like that at a grappling competition. It seems almost unfair. What the hell would you go for on him, besides the aforementioned RNC?
