He used to train and teach TKD and was some sort of regional champion. During one of Danny Abbadi's fights he proclaimed taekwondo as an "almost useless art."

Which style did he train in? Do you have any info? Any footage of him trainning or competing? Thanks.

I've never seen anything other than this http://realitytv.about.com/od/realit...a/JoeRogan.htm

    From his wiki...

"Born in Bridgewater, New Jersey, Rogan was raised in Newton, Massachusetts. Rogan earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do at 15 after just two years of training from the J.H.Kim Tae Kwon Do Institute in Boston, MA. From here he won four state Tae Kwon Do championships. At 19, he won the US Open Tae Kwon Do Championship, and later as a lightweight champion went on to beat both the middle and heavyweight title-holders to obtain the Grand Championship[citation needed]."

    From his forum

"The spinning back kick and the wheel kick are 2 techniques that really work, but are rarely seen in competition outside of TKD and the occasional kick boxing match. The spinning back kick is starting to make it's way into MMA, but the wheel kick is next. TKD has a bunch of silly **** in it, but there's a few techniques that are very effective if you know how to use them. The problem is, most of the people that do know how to use them, don't know how to really fight, just TKD fight.
Once the gap is bridged, we're going to see some interesting KO's."

Information gathering is cool. I dunno which one it was.

Can I ask why you want to know though? I'm wary that if someone comes up with the info you're going to dismiss is as "Oh, well he didn't do the REAL TKD. Everyone knows (opposite org here) is way better."

As for MMA fighters that are TKD, Cung Le. He is TKD and fights like it. You even see the spin kicks when he fights.
