Is there ever going to be a Lyoto Machida of TKD?

Hello i'm new to BSD and i was wondering myself this for a long time:

With TKD being the most practiced martial art in the entire world it surprises me that there's no true CHAMPIONS that represent the art in professional competitions like MMA and K-1 even though is the #1 victim of Mcdojangs. Is really this bad? What happened? And I'll still waiting for that "chosen one" to appear like Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida with Karate-do.

JUST SO YOU KNOW: MACHIDA DOES NOT ONLY STUDY KARATE. HE STUDIES BJJ, WRESTLING, MUAY THAI AND OTHER SYSTEMS AS WELL.

So if you mean will someone who knows TKD become a successful fighter, then yes. If that person only trains TKD then no.
There is no cheating, there is only jiu-jitsu.

He is also the son of a high ranking master and had been training since three (training bjj since 15). He clearly also has natural athletic ability and is part of one of the best MMA camps out there. Also, I think the likelihood of another Lyoto rising up is diminishing in that people who are serious about MMA are less likely to try a TKD (or shotokan) background than in the past.

It's very unlikely that we will see a TKD version of Lyoto.
