    blood in ear

Any one ever experienced anything like this? I got caught in a very tight triangle in my BJJ class. Basically felt like the pressure caused it, but I tapped out, walked away felt a little dizzy, to be expected....bled from one ear, small amount of bright red blood. Massive headache followed. Returned to class three days later, even before rolling, got a splitting headache in the front of my head, had to sit out. Going to take a break and get it checked out by a doctor. Any ideas?
    Thanks

Yea, go get that checked out by a doctor. Like 5 minutes ago you should have seen a doctor.

Only idea is to see a doctor, pronto, and don't exercise until you have.

Sounds like you ruptured an ear drum. Of course, after seeing the actress that died after bumping her head on the snow...I think you should see a doctor. After a ruptured ear drum, you should still have it looked at to make sure you don't have permanent damage. Especially if your balance is off.

My bad, didn't see that this thread was started 5 days ago.

Also, when you go to the doctor, exaggerate your symptoms, don't underplay them. You are scared for your life and need urgent medical attention.

Bright red blood???? FROM YOUR EAR?!

Wherever you are, I hope your like...alive and ****.

I would think that the eardrum would contain dark blood, unless you popped a freakin artery in your brain or something...in which case, may god or buddha or whoever be with you.

Thanks for the replies! Got it checked and ruptured eardrum was the cause. Apparently under pressure (triangle choke) blood was forced up through the eardrum membrane, pin hole sized rupture, will scar over and heal fully within two months. Basically a two week long constant headache, pretty much blows.

Thanks for the update! I thought it sounded like a ruptured ear drum. I saw an inmate rupture his own ear drum before because he thought it was cool to make him feel like he was drunk. He did it with a paper clip.

    Anyways, same symptoms.
