I like Tanto points okay, but I find myself needing to do more slicing and cutting with my pocket knife than stabbing. The Ken Onion Blur I just trash talked was a tanto point. I'd just rather have a nice belly on the blade than the tanto point. If I need to stab through the roof of a car or something else silly, chances are I'll also have my Gerber LMF fixed blade on me. That knife actually gets off from being abused.

I don't carry a knife everyday, although they do come in handy (not for l33t ninja stuff though, sadly :phil2: ). When I do it's this sucker that was dirt cheap at Bass Pro:

I know it's one of the cheapest knives that Benchmade makes and I've been looking to upgrade to something a little better. -

Mine is a Kershaw Storm 1470. I originally got one as a birthday gift and didn't have any of the problems that other people have apparently had with kershaws. I liked it enough that when I lost my first one on an exercise a couple months ago I went out and bought the same model.

SOG Trident. Love this thing. Spring assisted, a fishing line/small cable cutter so you don't even have to open it, plus it's extremely comfortable to hold. Really great for big and small jobs. Also, gotta love the belt clip, really high quality all around. Best knife I've ever had.Last edited by Yojimbo1717; 3/16/2009 5:28pm at .

BE PREPARED FOR MY FAILURE.

Sheffield serrated, it has a clip but i just throw it in the bag/pocket, not spring loaded (Illegal in Canada, lol), half metal and half rubber, so its cold to the touch and comfortable / non-slip. I like that its blade is matte black, doesnt shine at all so i dont attract too much attention when i pull it out to cut something.
had it for over 2 years, never disappointed me -
