yup, I am a sock-puppet of FFF, I carry Kershaws and nothing else has satisfied!

My current one is a Ken Onion design:

they have a cam-actuated opener which is just the shape of the blade where it sockets into the handle. It is a fantastic design and very easily opened with one hand.

They make others that have a finger-tab on the back that you can sweep the knife open with but-like Cassius- I find it can occasionally snag on clothing and partly open up.

btw, I am a carpenter&tradesguy by day and a Sambo dude by night and do not get into Krav-Silat duels or any **** like that. Kershaws are very nice knives.

Tanto styles are silly IMO but this is a decent review, LOL@the dude who commented "I hate it when people eat when making a video"

also, knife people are such oddballs!

I'd put 10 times more weight behind a carpenter's opinion about a knife than I ever would some Krav-Silat person. Knifes are tools first, weapons only as a last resort.

p.s. that Kershaw folder opens handily from thumb-operation or in reverse-grip. Though it is a little tricky to get the hang of, you can use your ring finger to snap it open, which is a very cool commando-looking thing to do.

Two different Boker auto knives. First one wore out, however. They fit nicely in the cell phone pocket in my Dickies pants.

They have rarely failed to open. Sharp, cut boxes with ease. Both have serrations closer to the handle.

I'm a carpenter. I carry a folder that has a tanto style blade.

Of course that's only because I bought two Emerson Hard Wear knives for work and my first choice,

won't hold an edge as well as this one,

They're not pretty, but they're cheap and durable. They're also extremely light. Not so my non-work carry, a SOG Vulcan. It's pretty hefty for a pocket folder.

I'm definitely not a knife authority, but I don't like CRKT knives. I've broken all three I purchased in short order.

Since I only have one knife for all purpose use, I have my SOG. If I had to pick a knife for purely work related jobs, I'd go with a tanto style blade as well.

CRKT's are crap. Reliable ones are: Spyderco, SOG, Kershaw, some Gerbers (depends on which), Bokers, the old school Buck pig-stickers, any freaking German made Solingen blade...there's some others I'm forgetting, guys?

Oh ****! this is my favorite. Thread drift because its not a folder:
