very quick pull-up question.

Whats the best grip position on the pulll-up. I usually grab onto the part where your hands your angling downwards or should i do them on the straight part?

Not for me at any rate. I try to do them wide grip, narrow grip, palms facing me, palms away from me. I'll change grips if I get stale on one or at least bored.

If you're looking for transfer to rock climbing, maybe. Otherwise, mix it up.

Protip: There is no best exercise. Don't try looking for it. Use variety.

Changing grip position will help prevent you from getting tendonitis. And of course once you've gotten stronger you can try more difficult versions of the chinup which use different positions again.
