I found it funny the 1st time I heard it. Would have been funnier if true. The inane questions the media ask rarely get the response they deserve. As far as butthurt over political issues, methinks you protest too much. (And for the record, I tend to not like political humor because it is rarely insightful.)

No it is not real.

What is real (either now or in the past) are attempts by the media in general (notice I did not say liberal media) to get the service member in question to say some vague, cave-man grunt about "hurr hurr rag heads hurr hurr and to stereotype them as knuckle dragging idiots.

What I got out of it (even though it is not real) is that the Marine in question did not spend alot of time philosophiezing(s/p?) about his job; he did what he was supposed to do, just like the proffessional he is and went on with his life.

Please can we see this interview where the news lady tries to make the soldier feel bad? Can you find it? Really? Or does it just "happen all the time?"

How about how the media doesn't report on the roads that are repaired, or the electricityy that is restored to neighborhoods that lost it or better yet introducing it into neighborhoods that never had it in the first place?

Why don't we hear about that?

Why is it always - " the death toll to US troops is blah, blah", etc?
