would a "diary of" thread be appropriate here?
since this subforum went up, i have wanted to do a dairy of a boffer larper thread. it would be the 100% true account of the summer that i was flat broke, starting a new job, my friends were all just as broke as me, and our weekly d&d sessions turned into adventures with boffer larping. yes, i know, this solidifies me as an undeniable dork, but hey, i really don't have anything to add to WMA discussion outside of my experience of fencing in PE in 8th grade and boffer larp. so, would my diary of thread get trollshidoed or sent to YMAS? or is it appropriate for here?

On balance, probably not appropriate for this forum, unless your boffer/LARP adventures made some sort of active reference to HEMA/WMA. On the other hand it sounds like it would be a fun thread in YMAS, or an essay for the Articles section.

Take it to YMAS.
Read the forum descriptions next time.
That might give you a clue.

Either way, only idiots would ignore the massive contribution the west has made to the science of hurting people.
Boxing, Bartitsu, Fencing, Pankration, Wrestling, and more.
no worries though, i'll work on the first entry for YMAS while i'm on down time at work tomorrow.

The bit about Alexander the Great is one of Phrost's little jokes ...
