    Hell yeah! Hell no!

1st MT fight @ Arnold Classic

My friend's son competed in his first MT fight at the Arnold Classic this weekend.

He is wearing the shorter shorts and starts in the rh corner.

He won by TKO in 2nd round with knees. I thought it was a pretty good fight and my friend's son has quick hands.

    Please watch and evaluate.

No matter what you post all I can ever think is: BOOBS!

I did get around to watching the video. Your buddy's son looks great. Hard to criticize a decisive win. Great posture in the clinch! Where does he train?

At Prodigy here in Cincy, under Robert Walker out of Dayton, but he started with Jorge Gurgel.

The kid was raised on hockey and made the switch about 2 years ago.

    Really nice first fight :)

Well placed kicks and knee strikes, and he made good use of his height advantage. There was a lot of over committed over hand rights, but that's an easy thing to let yourself do when you get excited. I'd like to see more controlling the range with double jabs and push kicks, and of course more combinations. Other than that, really good job :)

Thanks for the input. My office is next door to his dad's.
The kid JUST turned 16 and has been playing hockey all his life.

In any case, there will be more fights.

He did really well for his first fight. FYI there is going to be a Muay Thai event held at Metropolis on 3/21.

Your friend may also want to consider checking out Sacan Martial Arts in West Chester. That's where I use to train and can say with confidence that they have some of the best Muay Thai in the area. The head instructor, Neal Rowe, just returned from Thailand where I believe he was granted the title of Kru by Saeksan Janjira.
