Actually I lost interest in the Chucky threads quite quickly, so I never read it was all faked, but fair enough. I was trying to make the point that Stork et al's training amount, real stuff, amounts to nothing of any value, 4th kyu booj is hardly anything to shout about.

As for him being the only guy there to learn from, I doubt it. There are probably people there with more legitimate experience than him, but they aren't shouting about it because they aren't dreaming of themselves as being anything more than what they are, beginners.

months after chuck was banned i told war wheel about something funny involving a mean 120 lbs russian woman, a blind judo master, and an aikido student and the first thing out of WW's mouth was "did you ever tell this story to chuck hardin".

at least stork shows rank certs for his 4th kyu in the booj. and btw, in government camp oregon, stork is THE ONLY GUY to learn martial arts from. there is no cheep and widely available to set him straight. the closest good training for him is in portland, a 2 hour drive away.

bowen also put in a shitload of time in krotty/jkd schools when he was younger before he had his kids.

i've talked to stork about his training. he moved out there after he had lost interest in MA and wanted to live in a snowboarding paradise (which mt. hood is). there are a few people he knows with some MA experience, but aside from an occasional krotty mcdojo that tries to open up in his area and goes under after a few months, there is nothing. he got re-interested in MA after discovering youtube ninjering. so, to reiterate, there is no cheep and widely available to help him out, and nobody out there cares about martial arts enough to do a meet up club type thing.

tripp's forum only went down because of his job. he was running the risk of losing his job during his probationary period because of his affiliation with MMA. the forum had his name in the URL, it had to come down. unfortunately, he took it down in a panic without talking to anybody else about a better alternative (like moving the forum to a different domain name). other than that, i don't know how he is. he doesn't talk to me because i'm an atheist socialist jew who doesn't support zionism and we got into a political fight.
