    Weighted dips

The stronglifts website says that doing dips with more than 10-15kg doesnt work well. Im wondering what is the reason exactly? Is it because of the danger of dislocating your shoulder?

If so, how can i keep dips challenging once i can use these weights with perfect form and a decent amount of sets?

    Misreading.

Dumbbell Between Legs [...] Doesn’t work well with weights above 10-15kg.
Not weighted dips in general, just that kind, for reasons that I hope are now clear.

Well, just that its hard to get your legs to grip well when holding a bigger dumbbell, if you can do it, no problem. When I did it I found it hurt my legs trying to get them to fit to the handle of the dumbbell and ended up using 2 smaller dumbbells that added up to required weight.

Yeah, buy a dip belt. Or, like I used to do before I bought one, tie a rope around your hips and string it through the plates. Used to do this for almost a year with 100+ lbs no problem. Pinches you a bit but you gott do what you gotta do.

Yeah, you can also use some chain looped through an innertube.

right now I'm surviving with up to 80-85lbs dumbbells just held between my legs. I'm too cheap to get a weight belt
In summation your argument denotes a lack of intellectual honesty on your part. It is my contention that this matter would best be solved with fisticuffs. I believe I will be victorious in this regard.

I was doing weighted dips with an 85lbs dumbbell too. The main problem I found was that I had to keep my legs extended and crossed to hold the weight (between my ankles), and if the dip bars weren't high enough it interfered with the range of motion.
