I've worked with some CIA folks. Two of them I'd like to bone. The rest looked like I'd kick their asses. That's not saying much. I wasn't as impressed with them as they are with themselves.

More shenanigans! No one knows if they work with the Christians In Action. If they told you that's who they worked for then obviously that was merely cover for an even more secret (and probably deadlier) organization.

Unless you're counting watching Zero Dark Thirty as working with them...

A long time ago, I rescued a kitten and named him Spook. Sadly, he died from a surgical operation when he was a year old.

But before that, his stealth and martial arts were superb, hence the name.

Its a shame to know too much at one year old.

During the cold war, the CIA was commonly believed to have about 20,000 employees of which perhaps 4-5,000 were assigned to the Directorate of Operations. Of this total, secretaries and support staff made up a large percentage. (Lets say at least 1-2,000)

The majority of CIA case officers were assigned under "official cover" as state department foreign service officers, where they spent their time trolling diplomatic receptions for gossip and potential recruits.

Very few of these individuals ever were involved in hand to hand combat.

The CIA has a paramilitary unit, which is part of the Directorate of Operations which helps it run its secret wars, but this tends to expand and decline based on what is going on in the world at any given moment.

The bottom line is that maybe 1 to 2 in 20 CIA employees would ever be in a position to use a hand to hand combat course, which is why the average CIA employee knows more about power point and excell then ass kicking.

If you'd used public funds to train people to stare at goats, would you own up to it?

That was the US Army's First Earth Battalion model ("New Earth Army" in the movie) not CIA.

Just because someone else was responsible for goat-stare-fu...that's no excuse.

The CIA still didn't own up to it.

The movie was largely fictional, but the book version of The Men Who Stare At Goats is one of the best books I've never officially read.
