Under my understanding of US Military history, the US government never invested that much in H2H in the past, mainly because most firefights took place over a few 100 yards. Now a days some firefights can take place as close a 30 feet so the military has gone out of its way to improve their H2H, so most US H2H systems of the past sucked, there wasnt much of a need for it.

Further more I would think a CIA agent wouldnt need a whole crap lot of H2H training. If your a spy and you get caught theres not much you can do, your already surrounded and living with the enemy on your own completely, your basically fucked. Thats just my opinion though.

All hail CJ60 and his brilliantly accurate and clear posting on the CIA (or are they calling it the ISS now?)

Now we should all stand back and put our hands over our ears until the carpet bombing of CJ60 and all those affiliated with him is complete.

Since he's a member of Bullshido, we're technically all affiliated with him...but I've had a good life.

I've heard that CIA operators are taught MAC or Modern Army Combatives (FM 3-25.15).

Okay, the level of insightfulness in this post put aside (I love your bit on how you teach us that you're fucked if you are a spy and you got caught.. I really thought you could fight your way like 007 and get back to my home country, with no political rejection at all)

I would guess that one of the major reasons on emphasis in MA in the military nowadays is because they don't use bayonets that much anymore. Its just a theory, but how helpful is hand to hand combat (as in completely unarmed) when you have a functional rifle with a sticker in the end?

    to the OP:
start asking about his MA, start laughing at him, and ignore the **** out of it. Bring it up again, get him to talk about it a bit and laugh/ignore again. Basically be a dick, until he either takes you to his master (btw don't forget to bow to your master) or fights you.
