    clips of me sparring

SO i decided I would start recording some of the sparring sessions I do, first one the other night. background- im the dude in the black singlet/shorts with blue headgear. we werent going too heavy, this was a pretty relaxed sparring sesh because a lot of the guys have had fights recently or are newbs. unofrtunately camera fucked out (wasnt enough room cos the girl recording forgot to delete her music off it, doh) but managed to get 4 full rounds and a very nice spinning nut kick.

round 1 and 2- with a guy new to our gym, has had a couple of fights under someone else though.

    round 3 and 4-
I fucking hate sparring other southpaws, so awkward. this guy is pretty talented though, has trained over in thailand a bit.

The end of the last video should be made into an animated avatar for you.

Aside from that, it seems like fairly decent ~50% sparring, and that other southpaw dude looks pretty good.

    Got any comp. vids?

Other than standing flat footed and "taking pictures" ever now and then, looks decent.

I wish I had video of the sparring session between KosherKickboxer and Strikestanian I watched yesterday. That was some of the funniest **** I have seen in a long time. "Get your cup out of my ass!"

i like to think of my flat footedness as taking a"relaxed" stance >.>

I know what you mean. I like to think of getting knocked out going to bed a little earlier than usual.

    Great sparring, nice nutshot.

Just to ask you guys for aliveness approximation (or how hard you hit).

    What % would you give this, 20%, 30% ?
very light, light or medium contact ?

You have a tendency to lean over when you attack, making it difficult for you to recover and defend any counter attacks. Also, you move straight in, attack and stay where you are so when the other guy doesn't move back you're in a bad spot to eat a return shot. The main thing I'm noticing is that you're kinda stiff and your posture gets a little out of whack when you attack, so you have trouble defending counter attacks.

Also, you guys are being so lazy :P

would say light to medium, depending on who it was with- i went quite light on the first guy.

i noticed that i do tend to always move forward, need more lateral movement. and to feint more. bad habit of eating a hit to deliver one.

was a bit stiff but then, 3 days previous to this i had been getting cold sweats because my back was in so much pain (did something to it doing kettlebells) and it wasnt quite recovered. not that my posture is anything to write home about at the best of times
