I just buy powders and mix it in a bit of instant iced tea, works well for creatine/beta alanine.Where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence.

I don't use glutamine. I do mix creatine and beta alanine together though, in about a double shot sized bit of iced tea, then shoot it down followed by some water. I would do the same with glutamine, I hate the way ulk powders taste and want to get them down as quick as possible.

I wonder if there any reason not to mix, say, protein powder with creatine with glutamine etc to make one awesome (foul-tasting) drink rather than two or three individual ones?
Whether absorption etc would be compromised... I suppose I could use google, but I'm sure El Macho or The Russ will be along shortly to make sure I don't mis-interpret long words :-)Where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence.

Agreed with the wonder of glutamine, and with the powder over pills arguments in respect to price, quality, and efficiency.
Give glutamine a shot and get back to us.
I would consider the protein shakes if you aren't taking any yet, probably something high-calorie to offset all of the cals you burn at judo. Try to get anywhere from 1-1.5g of protein for your bodyweight per day. Ie: 175lbs man should take anywhere from 175g-262g of pure protein in the span of day. At 6 meals a day, getting that in requires anywhere from 30-42g per meal.
Just do the math. Also, I would definetely get a whey protein isolate (that is a specific type of protein) for use right after both excercises. Ask the guy at the supplement store or search around for one when you shop online."This is why we are here.
