    Bromelain is found in pineapples, available in pill form as well. There have been some studies on it helping with bruising.

    My bruises are usually legs and arms, so I'll apply dit da jow and rub the bruise away from the heart. An acupuncturist once gave me a bottle of herbs to help with bruising. I can't say if it worked or not, as I was constantly getting bruised at the time.

    I don't think I would have anemia we eat meat 5 days a week.
    And I'm big on eating healthy. I'm sure I'll toughen up over time. I am quite new to
    judo been doing it for 8 months and Bjj for about 3 month.

    Hey Gravity, hope the advice helped (I got something out of it anyway!). By the way, which city in Aus are you in?

    If you're in Sydney, we sometimes organise informal meet ups to train with other Bullies.

    Coupling with all the fine suggestions thus far, I use:

    Burt's Bees Comfrey which is now sold under this name:

    Doctor' Burts Res-Q Ointment

    It helps take some of the bite out of a new bruise and it seems like they heal up faster.

    http://www.lucaspapaw.com.au/ ? I found this helped with my bruising...from the mat, and, uh, succubus tendencies.

    If they are hurty—I ice first, then use heat (heat pack, or something similar) a day or so later to disperse the bruising.

    Comfrey is good for strains, sprains, bruises, and broken bones, from what i've been told.

    With time, and ocntinued practice, your body will adapt and the bruising will subside as others have already said.
