I actually like the cage because I like a lot of the clinchwork on the wall, as long as guys aren't stalling. Also, I love it when somebody lands one of those cage-recoil takedowns. They look awesome.

What about a ring, inside a cage. Now that would be badass.

    *shrug*

Using a western boxing ring for MMA or grappling is **** tarded. Sometimes thought it's about visual appeal, so who knows what's better for the fans?

How's about a bowl shaped pit? Where the floor becomes the wall. Low visibility would be a problem tho...

One thing that I like about the ring is that you can't press someone up against it and use it as leverage. Fighting in a cage makes it so that you can't do certain escapes as you normally would. But yeah, it really blows when they keep stopping it and pulling the people into the middle of the ring.

Jack Dempsey did NOT fall out of the ring. Luis Angel Firpo ("The Wild Bull of The Pampas") knocked Jack The Giant Killer through the ropes and onto a journo's typewriter. Jack got back in and KO'd Firpo.

He was a mean man in dat ring.
