And Alvin York shot the five guys that bayonet rushed him starting with the back one, and worked his way forwards. So they wouldn't see each other die. Or something.

That article forgot to mention that Häyhä didn't use a scope, since the reflection could give you away and they could get vapor freezing in them at winter time. Instead he shot with only iron sights and still making kills at over the distance of 400 meters best one being about 450 meters (492 yards).

Churchill is a lot crazier than they're making out here. Read the Wikipedia article:

He's the only soldier in World War II known to have felled an enemy with a longbow.

And they haven't made a major Hollywood movie based on his life? This guy is so bat **** crazy. They need to put up a monument to his awesomeness in England.

That's pretty impressive considering that the iron sights on my Mosin seem kind of unsatisfactory. I guess that to even attempt those shots you'd first need to find a relatively "good" Mosin.
