Noob question on Qualifying UFC

Hello,

I'm trying to get some focus for research. Searchfunxionnoob gave me a whole lot of Pankration results which isn't what I'm looking for?

Where do you find the match ups for UFC qualifiers? I'm especially interested in qualifiers for UFC's 1-4 (for starters).

What qualifiers? They were all one night tournaments. The modern UFC doesn't have 'qualifiers' either, they just head-hunt fighters who they want to appear.

Sherdog.com has a similar database that also lists a 'Style' for many of their fighters.

What exactly are you trying to prove?

Is there a "History of MMA" class being offered at the local JC now? What are the labs like?

Not trying to prove anything. Just trying to get a more precise outlook on how Krotty did when there were almost no rules. My sensei gave me the fight vs sport arguement the other day. I'm not a big enuogh d-bag to argue with him about it. But i am not opposed to wasting some time on a personal project I alredy know the results of. Just looking for some hard numbers and percentages as opposed to generalizations.

For example, the only karateka with a win in UFC 1 was a Kyokushin guy. (Gordeau). The other two guys that listed karate as their style lost.

I will repeat for 2-4 to get a better idea. I chose 4 as the last one because one guy competed under the specific style Shorin Ryu. (won against capoiera, lost against wrestlign).

Gordeau's main style was Savate (hence the foot break). He also trained in Muay Thai and Kyokushin.

When these sites list multiple styles, is it safe to assume that they place the styles in order of the fighters time or mastery in those styles?

For e.g. When I found Gordeu's styles, it listed Savate first and Kyokushin 2nd. Is this the norm?
