Determine your caloric requirements based on current weight and activity level call this X. Determine how many calories you eat each day, call this Y. if X < Y then you are gaining weight, if X = Y you are maintaining weight, if X > Y then you are losing weight.
So make X > Y and stop looking for a miracle.
Losing weight is hard work. It will always be hard work. You are frequently fighting against genetics, culture, and your own desires in order to make progress.Last edited by Kintanon; 1/28/2009 7:54am at .

What Kintanon said. To the OP, read the stickies and the rules of posting (the topmost 3 threads on the list). Yes, I mean read all three:
Physical Training, Diet, and Health Forum - No BS Martial ArtsRead this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.
My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.
New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.
t-nation - Dissecting the deadlift. Anatomy and Muscle Balancing Videos.
The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -

It depends on the amount in which you are eating the things mentioned.
Post a food diary of a typical day" The reason elite level MMAists don't fight with aikido is the same reason elite level swimmers don't swim with their lips." - Virus
" I shocked him with my skills on the ice becuase Wing Chun is great for hockey fighting." - 'Sifu' Milt Wallace
"Besides, as you might already know (from Virus, for example) - there's only 1 wing chun and it sucks big time" - Tonuzaba
"Even when I'm promising mayhem and butt-chicanery, I'm generally posting with a smile on my face." - Sochin101
"That said, if he blocked my hip on a drop nage, I would extend my leg into a drop tai Otoshi and slam him so hard his parents would die." - MTripp

A few thoughts on this:
1) Any drug that changes metabolism is big medicine. (It will very probably have big side effects.)
2) Any drug that changes hunger is big medicine. (It will very probably have side effects.)
3) Any drug hat does 1 or 2 with minimal or no side effects, even with major side effects would be big news and famous.

Are there any weight loss products that have no side effects?
