Great to hear it went well and that there was just a removal and no repairs were needed.
Stay on top of the meds too. Don't let the pain get ahead of you. Pain from surgery sucks because it just feels like you're sore all over. The breathing tube irritation was the worst for me. My throat was sore and I had a case of the hiccups that lasted for 4 hours the next day.
When you get to rehab, just make sure you stick with it. I sound like a broken record when I write and say this over and over, but personal experience drives me to be annoyingly repetitive in this regard.

Congrats all the way! Glad to hear there was no damage beyond the spur. Now just baby it for a few months and you're good to go. I know I have the habit of knocking down some pain meds, forgetting I'm injured, and starting to work out. So make sure your SO is around to keep you on the couch no matter how good you feel.>:)
