Beginners Training in Nashville
Hi, I live in Nashville and did a bit of Muay Thai and have started learning Jeet Kune Do Concepts. I have been studying for about 6-7 months. I only get to class once a week due to scheduling conflicts. I am looking for someone to practice/spar with. Like i said I am still a beginner and would prefer someone with JKD experiance. Let me know.
A friend just turned me on to this guy in Nashville. I've only been to one class but he seemed to know his stuff. Here is his website.
He teaches JKD and Muay Thai. He's doing a seminar on the 7th. I think it's focusing on Muay Thai. All the info is on his site. Anyway, like I said I've only been to one class but enjoyed it.
I just found out about this site. I took a class from that muay thai / jkd guy. I liked it. Im looking to get into some sort of mma soon. I have blackbelt in tae kwon do, and have studied hap ki do , wu shu, and wing chun. Im working on conditioning my shins.
Also Check out Ed Clay's MMA
ED Clay has a great assortment of MMA styles and classes. Great facility, great instructors. Instructors actually still compete.
Yeah, he does know his stuff and is now teaching at a new school, Practical Black Belt Academy, in Hermitage, TN!
I am currently training with him a couple of times a week. He is a great teacher.
East Nashville Martial Arts
I know this is an old thread, but anyone in the East Nashville area looking to train.....
My Teacher (Full Instructor under Larry Hartsell and a member of the Jeet Kune Do Grappling Association) is opening a Gym close to 5 Points.
I am running small classes out of my Studio until the Gym is ready.
Please email me if interested and come check out what we do to see if it is for you.
We focus on Direct Application and Live training.
Not becoming Drillmasters.
