After workout shower

My judo coach sent our club a link to this article today. From said article...

The shower is the best place to complete hot and cold periods. 1 minute cold and 1 minute hot is the best way to remove lactic acid and other waste products from your body.

I don't know about you guys, but screw cold showers.

I sacrifice plenty of comfort for the sake of training, I ain't gonna start sacrificing hot showers.

I find a shot of rare old whiskey takes away the pain.....

after that, hot or cold shower doesn't matter a bit.

The only cold showers after training I ever had were at Renzos and boy I hated them. Call me a sissy all you want but after 3 sessions I am not looking for a cold shower, no way!

^^^This. Remember, the best workout for you is the one you will show up for every day. Mine ends with a hot shower.

The shitty sports centre where I train sometimes "forgets" to heat the water.

Cold showers are a fucking bitch, but surprisingly refreshing once you've finished screaming.

I only take cold showers in the summer when is hotter than hell. In days like that its nice, and it IS more refreshing than a hot shower and speeds recovery time. But right now its -20 outside so you can have my hot shower when you drag my dead body out of it.

In theory, contrast showers are for the sake of comfort - specifically, being in less discomfort from the time I step out of the shower to the time I start my next activity.
