The Worlds best Hand Gripper...Under .79!

I'm always trying to improve my grip. I've built lot's of silly ass **** in order to make my grip stronger, and last longer.

The other day I was at big 5, and thought, "hey I should see if they have any decent grip training stuff". It was a pretty limited selection, however they did have several grippers. They cost between 8-15 bucks. They all SUCKED. I would be surprised if a grandma had a hard time closing these things.

I have always liked the Captains of Crush grippers, they come in weights you'll likely never be able to close. And they also have an IMTUG. It's a little short gripper, thats perfect for isolating your fingers. Which allows you to work your pinky and ring finger really well.

I like this little guy, but he cost's 30 bucks, and I'm a really cheap bastard. So on my same trip as big five, I wonder over to Harbor freight. For those of you who don't know, Harbor freight is about the coolest cheap and crappy tool store in the world.

I went there because I had to buy some clamps. When I get over to the clamp shelf, their little spring clamps are on sale for .79 I pick one up, and it's not very easy to open all the way. Then a ray of light came down on me, and birds and angels started to sing.

It's about as hard to close as a Captains of Crush trainer, but it's small, and is easily used in all kinds of positions on your hand. It's a pretty good gripper AND FOR 79 CENTS!!!!

When these suckers go off sale you'll have to pay 1.20 for them.....
    Better Hurry!

    Anyways video, because it's fun.

For your consideration: billy sol hurok's last post, in combination with his avatar.

And to hopefully avoid Trollshido, some tangentially relevant information: I've been "greasing the groove" (PDF warning) with a pair of Heavy Grips. Tried it every day for a while, wound up going backwards. 3x/week, though, has been showing some good gains.

I too love the CoC grippers, but not their cost. I will try your clamp idea.

Well observed. That's why my grippers are free! (Though as the man said to Clouseau, "That's not my dog.")

Also good: hacky sacks (which I've managed to find at two bits per at garage sales) and platform tennis balls (ditto).

Heavy Grips work out to about half the price (HG100 through HG350 for $70 USD+shipping right now). Less consistent (and apparently more likely to "season" with use), but pretty good grippers regardless.

CoC's are $20 a piece. I bought mine at the IronMind site a while ago and paid $20 a piece, that is not expensive for training equipment.
