    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    which MA will mcdojo next?

we all know that no style is immune against a few mcdojos opening up here and there, but i'm wondering what you guys' opinions are on the next style to reach ATA levels of mcdojory.

i ask because my cousin, who trains BJJ, said he visited a school in the gainsville florida area that seemed shady and the next week he went to a fitness gym that had a BJJ class that was laughable at best.

i would like to think that the competitive nature of BJJ would keep it out of widespread bullshido, but i'm starting to wonder.

    any thoughts?

The mcdojofication of BJJ has been a process for years.

However competition will keep most of it honest

I hope it's absolutely anything else.

You have no idea how difficult it's been all these years trying to explain to people that I have Teh R33l Cardio-Kickboxing...

So...just out of curiousity...which styles are left? I mean which ones haven't Spiraled totally out of control? I know few styles have reached ATA-level yet, but many if not most are way beyond lost.

    So:
    BJJ
    MT
    Boxing
    Wrestling
    Judo

    I'm sure there are a few others...anyone?
Out of those, I would guess BJJ.

Oh dear ... I hope MT isn't going to go through McDojosification soon. It was hard enough for me to sit through my son's karate classes. I would twitch uncontrollably if I had to go through crappy kiddy-MT classes.

the same could have been said about sport TKD, that the good schools would win out. however, different franchises, such as ATA, are having more and more closed tournaments. circle jerk method tournaments could hit BJJ.

i'm not worried so much about MT, just because, to my knowledge, it hasn't gotten as popular as BJJ.
