RESTART: Three Knuckle VS Two Knuckle

I recently saw the old forum post debate about the 3 vs 2 knuckle leads. I think both methods work... obviously because both methods injure when struck with sufficient force. However I was intrigued when I read about Jack Dempsey and his power line, using the bottom three knuckles. I was even more interested when I read "the strait lead" by Teri Tom, emphasizing that Bruce Lee promoted the use of the bottom three knuckles, following the way of Dempsey. Now, I train in Aikido, and we are instructed to use the first two. Mainly for the reason of not injuring oneself, because there have been so many broken pinkys and knuckles. However, I find that the bottom three knuckles are a much more solid punch, more fluid, and you can execute the punch quicker. When you have to turn your arms to punch, it reduces the power and speed, at least in my perspective. I believe that both can be used effectively, as i said before, but I want to know what you think about it. you don't have to turn your hand if you punch with the bottom three and you can use more non-telegraphic movements when you execute them.

    What is you take?

My take is that you should be in newbie town.

My take is that you should use paragraphs as a courtesy to potential readers.
Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.

My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.

New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.

t-nation - Dissecting the deadlift. Anatomy and Muscle Balancing Videos.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

My take is that real men do grappling.

PROOF that I'm not a completely useless poster:

Me take is that nobody ever wants to talk about this subject when I bring it up either. They also say some nonsense like "Search Function N00b!" and I say, "But I'm not a noob, I've been here forever" and then they say, "Then you should've seen the original thread back in 1987, dickmouth," and then I say...

    TL;DR: Search Function, N00b
It seems to me that the Sanjuriu Martial Art is not in guestion, but, rather the character of Mr. Galt.
