In China. Date hasn't been set yet, but it's going to take place either winter or spring of next year, so both of us can get some training. Him in whatever TCMA he can find, me at UT's BJJ club.
I'm going to have to get started on that study abroad in Shanghai application, that I am...

Well this makes perfect sense, clear as mud!
But in all seriousness, perhaps you should emphasise on some details there mate.

Hmm. My bad.
Well, you see, we used to train together at the Shaolin Temple, until he betrayed us for 30 silver pieces and a brand new Hummer, so I have to kill him now. With the deadly art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. To, you know, restore my honor and crap like that.
Basic gist as to how this developed: I was arguing with him on the baidu.com forums, one of those age-old TCMA vs MMA threads. He played the "what MA experience do you have to judge TCMA" card, I countered with the "irrelevant; I don't have to be able to sing to tell bad singing, I don't have to be able to fight to to know that certain styles consistently produce great fighters and others don't" riposte, he responds by "fine, you use your 'good' style, I'll use my 'bad' style, and let's have at it."
Normally, I'd be like, "dude, you're in China. I'm in the US. I am not buying a plane ticket just so I can fight you." Then it hit me that since I'm applying for a study abroad to Shanghai anyways, a tentative fight becomes less out of the way than usual.
@Vorpal: well, you see, at the moment the only "alive" MA experience I have is 2.5 months of San Da. I'd prefer to wait until I get somewhat alright with something useful for fighting before showing up at a TD. I mean, jeez, my style field is contemp wushu aka ballet with Chinese characteristics, ferchrissake.
@Lebell: Well, I haven't started BJJ yet. Can't very well put it in the style field, now can I? I was also under the impression that the other guy at least had some basis in traditional, although from our most recent verbal exchange he doesn't really have that much (he's currently looking for a place to train). Then again, since my training prior consisted of very little material that actually helps me fight, I think we're more or less even.
@Munacra: Yup. Hook 'em.

So, when does this deathmatch go down?
If I'm in China at the time, who knows... I could do some jello wrestling in one of the prelims.
