What's funny is I read about this a number of years ago. For a while, I lined my lid with foam tape to create a "seal" between the lid and the bowl until it occurred to me that one, that didn't do anything to help the gap between the seat and the bowl, and two, people have been living in squalid conditions for thousands of years, a few E. coli cultures around my bathroom probably wouldn't kill me.

In fact, I'd be a raging germophobe if I didn't constantly remind myself of this fact.
I was living in San Francisco while I was taking Microbiology, Pathology, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology and got completely skeeved out while riding mass transit seeing people wiping their nose, grabbing hold of the handrails and then eating a sandwich.

As a scientist IRL (yup, I do more than just fetch coffee for Omega) - I second this suggestion. EWG is a legit and solid source of info.

Of course! Coffee tastes better when it doesn't bear the curses of the malnourished children who picked it.

Large, light roast, lots of cream, no sugar. Then he takes at least half the day to drink it.

If I die anytime soon, it will probably not have anything to do with whether or not I have 7 ionic breezes.

Oh, and what about tinfoil hats for health? I've constructed mine with a layer of foam in between two layers of tinfoil, effectively creating a Farraday cage for my brain. It stops most of the voices.
The f01l can lead to an over exposure to aluminum, which some studies link to alzheimers.

I will have to come up with a suitable 'tar when I have time to think one out.

I have four children so someone always has some sickness or other. I dont wash my hands as much as I should because I am OCD and hand washing was my "thing". I washed my hands until my fingernails were starting to come off, so I am reluctant (since starting medication) to get back in that habit.

During the winter months we have two garbage cans that we line with plastic walmart bags for throwing away tissues. I handle them (only me) so it will reduce the exposure of some of my sloppier housemates.

MOM34 bought one of those steamer cleaners for the hardwood floors. It helps with the grimy ass stuff that gets everywhere.
