Roy Harris ankle lock seminar video

Roy Harris Warsaw Leg Locks Seminar BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

Roy Harris teaches a seminar on the ankle lock. A basic entry to it with some helpful details like cupping the knee, finishing details like getting your butt behind their heel, maintaining control of the leg, and three different positions to control them for the finish along with how to transition between them as dictated by your opponent's reactions.

Also: a few drills are explained to help get the movements down
His introduction to leglocks sparring a sambo practitioner
    His thoughts on leglocks
footage of him sparring both MMA and BJJ rules

    For your edification.

would appreciate commentary from leglock-savvy grapplers.

for instance, I always try to turn to my side as I sit back for the ankle lock to hinder them from following me up, yet Roy does not - any idea why? thanks.

    *shrug*

They could've edited this to be more bearable. It's fairly comprehensive although I won't necessarily agree with everything. I personally believe a lot of things he went over are best learned over a long period of time as students get used to the mechanics and putting them on.

PS-I'm a big fan of Roy Harris btw.

There's very few times I'd ever use this. This is one of the things I disagree on.

Hmm, were you saying I should try doing it a different way or that you prefer a different method than Roy Harris? thanks.
