    I keep milk in my fridge at work and high fiber cereal at my desk. I also enjoy the coffee in the morning.

    Fiber and fruit in the morning get my uhm.. motor running so to speak. I also find it harder to get my fiber and fruit intake later in the day as I focus more on protien and carbs post workouts.

    Be interested if you get the bloated feeling when eating other carbs. Do you get it when eating pasta or rice for example? It could actually be an intolerance to carbs, may be worth looking into this.

    I don't see what the problem is with coffee in the morning.

    Caffeine is a great supplement and coffee is an indulgence that, unlike cigar smoking, you can do daily without too many side effects.

    Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I'll try to mix it up and keep it interesting.

    Don't think those energy bars you suggested are available here Phrost but I'll have a look round, thanks.

    Honesty, I only get like this when I have porridge. I thought that it was Lactose initially but don't get it from other dairy products. My GF thinks that it's the brand of Oats and has bought some other ones but I can't see how that would make the difference.

    Vorpal, I'd love to have Scrambled Eggs but we don't have cooking facilities at work and done in the microwave, they don't taste too good.

    For general bloating, there is nothing like yogurt. And if your stomach is too sissy to handle yogurt, consider an acidophilus supplement. You need to care for your gut bacteria.

    Also, consider taking some mineral oil every other night (in conjunction with cultivating your gut bacteria) as well as drinking a full glass of water first thing in the morning, before you ingest anything else, every single morning without break.


    As for breakfast ideas: 1-2 boiled eggs followed by a cup filled with one diced banana and one diced pear, yogurt on top and almonds (the later mixed with 1/8 cup of maltodrexin.) You can also replace the cup of fruit and yogurt with a whole-wheat bagel with peanut butter and some splenda or a low-sugar fruit jelly thingie.

    Make sure to have some water before you eat if you plan to drink coffee while eating breakfast (this is for those who suffer from chronic bloating.)

    On bloating, under no circumstances take vitamin B or C supplements on an empty stomach followed by coffee. That. ****. Is. Not. A. Good. Idea.

    Macho, the bloating ONLY happens when I have Porridge. Weird huh?

    Have you tried making the porridge with just water?
    It sounds pretty spartan, but it tastes fine, especially if you let the oats soak for a few minutes before you nuke them.

    Also, have you considered sochin101's microwave egg muffins?
    Toast an English muffin, or a bagel (you might have to do that at home... no toaster?). Stick an egg in a cup/mug, nuke it for about 45 seconds - 1 min.
    Make sure you prick the yolk, and cover the cup.
    It will go bang and spit, but they taste just like McMamma used to make.
    That's a good thing, right?

    I also like the boiled egg thing. You can just eat the whites if you're on a critical diet.
