Good review.
The hood mentality is crippling disease, that attacks your nervous system. It makes you nervous of the system. Gangsters and hood rats are especially susceptible to this growth stunting mentality. The hood is where I'm from, but it's not what I am. The hood is where I'm from, but it's not what I am. --Keith David--Ice Cube

That was an excellant review... I own the book and could care less about Big Nogs last showing. The book contains a lot of very good information. I really like your "note" about Big Nog and how to take the info from the book and what he has done. There was a lot of info left out of the book, but that was for good reason. Big Nog and Anderson have a few more books coming. I know of at least two more from each of them. Good review.

I'm a big fan of the Victory Belt books, owning both Bravo books and Randy Couture's "Wrestling For Fighting". Based on these products, this review, and Nogueria's fantastic MMA record (Mir fight be damned, Nog has beaten more ass than my Daddy's belt) I'd definitely be tempted to check this book out.

Well, my main goal was to address the question. I knew I wasn't the only one who was thinking like that. The fact is, in MMA, you pretty much live and die by you last fight. Unfortunately, I believe that needs to change. That is one of the main reasons I wrote it and felt is was important to write it. I'm glad you all enjoyed the reviews.

I'd just like to say I strongly second this. I personally view fighters like artists, looking over their entire body of work, not their latest piece.

Thanks for that. This book has been sitting in my Amazon shopping cart waiting for me to stop dithering for a few weeks now.
I don't know how anyone would question the value of Nogueira's MMA grappling on the basis of his last fight, considering there was basically no grappling in it. A more interesting question would be 'how does this book stack up to Fedor's technique book (also sitting in my shopping car}, considering how comprehensively Fedor was able to dominate Nog from within his guard.' -
