Last Set of n00bish Boxing Questions

Hint: They're n00bish questions because I'm a n00b. I track my boxing training in months, not years, so I hope these aren't actually Newbietown level questions.

Is there one universal way of numbering the punches?

If so, is it (the way my gym does it):

1 - Jab
2 - Cross
3 - Hook (with the lead hand)
4 - Uppercut (with the power hand)
5 - Uppercut (with the lead hand)
6 - Hook (with the power hand)
7 - Hook to the body (with the lead hand)
8 - Hook to the body (with the power hand)

6 and 8 (on my own little chart there) are just as often called "haymakers". Is that the general definition of a haymaker? I previously thought it was a name for any number of strong punches.

Is an "overhand" punch its own technique, or is it just a hook with poor form and a lot of power?

An overhand is not a hook. Assuming your not a southpaw you can have a right hook (meaning that the the elbow is below 90 degrees). An overhand comes in above a 90 degree angle and takes longer to load up than a hook. Its generally a bad idea to start with a overhand because its easy to see coming.

A Body shot with the left hand is a liver shot and with the right is a spleen shot.
