In that case its a good thing I just ordered a new gun. Springfield Armory XD Compact in .40 cal. I've been carrying a Sig P245 for ten years and decided the time has come for something new. I've been doing a lot of reading up on it and it gets pretty solid reviews. If anyone has one I'd like to hear what they have to say.
After this I'm still going to be in the market for a shotgun, you know, in case the machines rise up.

I'm currently putting money aside for a glock 19 for carry and a Benelli M4 for fun and/or zombies. Don't forget to read the Zombie Survival Guide!"Intelligence is nothing more than discussing things with others. Limitless wisdom comes of this." - 山本 常朝

I'm thinking the only thing that could stop a zombie is a shotgun. What's a 5.56 round going to do?Best Vietnam War music video I've ever seen put together by a vet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDY8raKsdfg

Any round will do against zombies as long as you aim for the head. GOSH!"Intelligence is nothing more than discussing things with others. Limitless wisdom comes of this." - 山本 常朝

Has it started already?
I am going with a M14 when at distance to Snipe them out. When we are up close and personal I am using the H&K MP5, Lightweight, Super Accurate, with the ability to put many rounds down range if needed. Glock 17 is adequate as a back up.

I have the .40 XD. It's a solid gun. I've put about a thousand rounds down range so far, and I have no complaints.
My buddy's Kimber ruined me though. Internal slide rail pistols are a different animal.Shut the hell up and train.
