Der Russ,
Shizda! I should've posted this sooner. But I've noticed two tendencies in movement:
move hips/legs and arms/shoulders together, as in expanding out of a clean&thrust
OR
move hips/legs and arms/shoulders in sequence, as in hip-throw or front-throw uchikomi
example A:

example B:

I have a couple of students who are PTrainers (one was a comp. lifter) and they just can't do the Judo-uchikomi that Katanishi can (HA! as if I can move that beautifully either!) but they have an easy learning curve for the front pick-ups, tackles and such.
Just food for thought, I don't know how you lift so your coach would know better, but if you're havving trouble with teh Judo, you might keep these tendencies in mind. Straight ahead lifters vs fastball pitchers...Many things we do naturally become difficult only when we try to make them intellectual subjects. It is possible to know so much about a subject that you become totally ignorant.

Good job!
You seemed a little tense, just relax! Whats the worst thing that'll happen to you?
You'll get thrown. Hell, isn't that what Judo is all about? :p.
But yeah, great job man

Lots, but I'm going to let them percolate for a while.

My third shido and his first (3:30) appear to be for the same thing - maybe something grip-related?
My fourth shido (at 4:30) and the second conference were for grabbing the pant leg. And that was the fight. -
