    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Which of these schools look the best?

I'm interested in Shotokan and these are the only schools I could find in my area.

Which seems like it would be the best?

    Thanks!

Also, if you know any other good schools in my area, even if not the same style, it would be welcome.

If you end up in Scarborough, I recommend carrying some kind of firearm. That's kind of a rough neighborhood.

If you are really sold on a TMA look for something derivitive of kyokushin. You get to play dress up and do kata like shotokan, but you will learn real striking. Good Luck!

The bounds of thoroughness require me to check if any of the three links do good sparring or are otherwise quality despite Shotokannery.

And I found old-timey Japanese teachers who emphasize kata and a long period of step sparring.

the first and 3rd sound ok if you just want it for fitness or a hobby. The first might be more sport oriented and the 3rd mostly self defense. neither really say how much sparring actually occurs so as a way of learning to fight I would give it a very low rating though you never know. you should just call and ask if they can give you one free class to try it out and see if you like either

I would look for kyokushin its a form of karate thats been proven 100% effective in the field of awesome

That was a very nice way to phrase it. I'm waiting for jnp's other shoe to drop on the OP's face in conjuction with a triangle choke.
