I'm not entirely sure what you mean by split-training, but if you're working the same muscles two days in a row (Saturday and Sunday), that's probably counterproductive. Even for hypertrophy, where you're trying to hit them before they're back to equilibrium, you still usually only hit the same muscle every second day or so.
