    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Should I consider split-training?

    Hi all,

So, right for the first week of January, my schedule sees some changes.
This is supposed to be my training week from January 2nd onwards.

Should I consider split-training for my lifting (is this even close to proper English?!)
to evade the risks of overtraining?
(As to the fighting, won't be that hard. It's only t3h Chun, after all, so I can indeed try a seven day workout, I guess.)

    Thank you,

    Rafe

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by split-training, but if you're working the same muscles two days in a row (Saturday and Sunday), that's probably counterproductive. Even for hypertrophy, where you're trying to hit them before they're back to equilibrium, you still usually only hit the same muscle every second day or so.

Ancedotal evidence: I tried "greasing the groove" with my grippers at work for a few weeks, and when I was doing it every day, my grip actually got weaker.

Exactly what I wanted to say/ask.

I have tried going to the gym two or three days consecutively, using the same program,
and it indeed didn't feel good. - Now, obviously, I have no idea if this was just me being too weak at that time.

So, working on a split program right now...
