    Part of the reason for a hanging bag is the fact that it moves around. Move around the bag and direct it with your attacks, don't grab the bag and stop it. Have someone who knows how to use a bag properly to show you how to work a heavy bag.

    Yes, it's Muay Thai.

    (The OP might note that none of the Thais in the video are kicking anywhere near 250lbs bags, and they seem to be doing alright. If it's good enough for Buakaw and Anuwat, it's good enough for you).

    cool, ive recently started Muai Thai i still keep puting my heels down when i land my kick its a bad habbit i know but il need to get through it, but my guard stays up good enough

    if you have any tips that would be great

    Also note the thai fighters are all doing one kick (roundhouse) I do all my kicks when I do bag work I do back kicks which generate much greater power for these kicks in particular I need a heavier bag.
