The Gentlemanly Art of Fighting in Snowbanks

The other day, I got an IM from my friend Mike, saying he wanted to spar while I was in town for Christsmash.
After a couple minutes of deliberation, we decide the best place to fight would be in a snowy field. We decide on one, and I bundle up and head over. There had been heavy snows the previous days, and it was about eight degrees Fahrenheit that evening.
We managed to pick a good one; snow about a foot deep, yet unspoiled by the footfalls of men. We had sparred once before, but it was doing strictly judo rules. This was the first time we were throwing strikes. We were bare knuckle, except for the paltry layers we had thrown on to keep our hands warm - in my case, a pair of work gloves, in his case, a pair of batting gloves. Neither was particularly good for padding or for insulation.
We managed to get two rounds in before, tired and freezing, we decided to call it a day.
Our first round, he took me down with a head and arm throw, but I managed to take his back and get a RNC. The second round, he managed to kick some snow in my face while we were standing, which did indeed take my sight away a second, but he failed to capitalize on my blindness. He eventually tapped out to not being able to feel his hands anymore as I was working for a crucifix.
Both rounds were mostly grappling matches, with a few jabs and some GNP thrown on my part. I was dissapointed that I was unable to test how winter boots and foot deep snow would affect my kicking.
I'm afraid we didn't have anyone to video us. Next time, perhaps.

Snow Sucks!

I have been fighting with the snow for several days.

A few flakes don't present much of a challenge,

but, the cheating bastards keep ganging up on me.

I really gotta buy a snow-annihilator.
