    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Mouse guns. Seriously. It's for the wife, I swear.

OK. I am trying to find a good carry piece for my wife. She is small, dainty, and has some problems with nerves in her hands and wrists. High-percussion rounds bother her, and it can't be heavy or she won't be able to carry it comfortably.

She has test-shot a Bersa Thunder .380, and while she didn't hate it, it was less than comfortable for her. I have a .25 ACP she can shoot that comfortably, but the round is so anemic, I don't trust it for self defense.

Ironically, she shoots really well with a Ruger New Vaquero .357 if you load it with .38 special. The combination of large frame and medium-strength round seems about perfect. She also shoots CZ-75 with no problems. Both these frames are too big for her to carry comfortably, and the vaquero is a SA-only cowboy gun.

How do you guys feel about the little pistols? .22LR/ .22Magnum/ .25ACP/ .32 and the like. WHich ones should I try her out on? Are they really that weak? elp me out people.

She is a small, thin gal who works in a an office. I work under the assumption that any gun is better than no gun at all.
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

Well that kind of puts her into the same bind my wife's in... she loves the full size 1911 and would carry one if it were humanly possible (she'd have to grow 6" and start wearing Hawaiian shirts). The weight of the gun makes it so easy for her to shoot well.

My CCW instructor carries a 4-shot, SAO .22 Magnum revolver in his pocket. Don't dismiss small calibers outright, 22 kills tons of folks every year. It's better than nothing at all.

This may sound odd, but my dad bought my mom a Colt .45...and the scary thing is, she owns with it.

Its the "commander" style, i believe. Its smaller then your typical 1911.

As for dainty, my Dad's walther PPK is awfully small, and he has a .32, which fits into his boot.

Take your wife to a gun show, and see what fits and what doesn't. Extra points if she chooses a revolver.

That is not conducive to passionate cunnilingus, my friend, let me assure you.

The colt pony was a 380 caliber auto pistol along the lines of the Colt 45, it is no longer made but it might be available used.

She doesn't really like .45. SHe's OK with it in a full side frame, so the smaller ultra carry didn't really do it for her.

And Moose, we are revolver people. We own only one automatic.

Yeah, I think we are going to have to revisit .38s

She tried my 605 with 38 on our first date. She didn't like the grip, but now that she's a more experienced shooter, we should probably give 'em another shot with a more ergonomic grip. I love taurus, but their grips blow.
