    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    how many people practice MA?

I'm not talking about the forum, but the general population of the USA. What's the percentage of people that have at least some training in a martial arts or combat sports? In my opinion at least 1 out of 15 people have some background in MA, boxing or TKD is generally the case

You really need to figure out where to post your threads.

Also, even with high school wrestling etc. I'm willing to bet nowhere near that many have any background in MAs, especially if you don't count "oh i took TKD for 2 months" as MA background / training.
Curiosity killed the cat. But damn it had a blast.

hmm, i figurered posting it in the general "martial art" area would do, still learning i guess

i'm saying 1 in 15 as a conservative figure, alot of people walking around are not even remotely interested in martial arts. This is somewhat nice to know being that the likehood of facing an experienced fighter at a random brawl is very low, not saying that i still would'nt get my ass kick by some 200 pound bouncer though but.......

by the way (off topic) i see you're from Finland, respect to that nation. I have in my collection a few Finnish firearms therefore got to learn alot about your nation's history. The Winter War was amazingly fought

This belongs in YMAS. Please read the stickies and forum descriptions.
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

I'm willing to venture that this is a very conservative estimate. And there is no citing of sources.

Well are we talking "people" with MA training or "Men" with ma training. This will change the percentage drastically.
