I've met Master Rudy a few times but I do not train with him. My teacher is George Lugo.

Im in texas currently, My teacher in limalama is Jim Reid and whenever possible Master Rudy, im in college right now, so distance is an issue for both of my instructors, but I was in vegas training with both of them a few weeks ago.

Edit: I trained for a few years under Master Villenueva (man I really hope thats spelled right) before training with Master Rudy.

Does Limalima have national level bodies that moderate quality control? Maybe that would tighten up the variable level of quality of instruction and practice.

I wish the organization was the coherant. There is at this time no quality control or even a real governing body for Limalama. I hope this changes in time but right now its every dojo for themselves. A great big mess.

^^ This. And I predict that if it doesn't get an actual governing federation it is forever doomed to mediocrity.

In all of this, has anyone on this thread actually trained Limalama in Samoa- or more specifically, American Samoa? I am to be stationed there shortly, and would appreciate any insights you might have.

I haven't been able to find much on the web about martial arts in American Samoa, so I figured I'd start here.
