You'll get no argument from me there; I'd never do them if there was a free weight alternative which is why I'm asking about dips. My almost-manly-not-quite-300lbs was done using an olympic bar.

Don't you have some atom bombs to go stand in front of, and maybe a painted line to get all pissy about?

Who is talking about isolating muscles? And why would you isolate muscles for strength training?

++. The only use I've ever found for that thing was squatting under it when my shoulder was too injured to hold a proper bar in place, and even that sucked.

My dog is fucking awesome. Except now that my work has picked up, he's trying to become the dominant male in the house. He pees on everything I own and keeps humping my wife.

I've gotten him back though. I peed on everything he owns, and humped my wife too.

He knows who the alpha is.

I tried to bench press 315 today. Some of these big guy's I pal around with at the gym were all like, 'cmon bro, we'll catch it. we're here to spot you, give it a shot', when one of them was already benching it.

**** that. I couldn't even get it off the hooks. It'll be a new personal goal from now on, that's fer sure.

It's a good thing you're not severly dyslexic, Em, or you might have ended up peeing on your wife and humping your dog. That would've just left them confused, but actually, I guess, you'd still be the aplha in that situation.

I say, if you have any more trouble give it a shot.
