Dude you are really going about this the whole wrong way.

If you want to invest in these companies, first do a search for the most successful defense contractors in the US. Then go talk to a stock broker or investment banker or someone who knows something about investments, and ask them what they think about the different companies. Basing it on specific helicopters is not the smartest idea. Good helicopters =/= good companies.

Okay, just to answer the OP's question:

Not every helicopter in service can be used extensively in Afghanistan due to the altitude. When I was there the ones I saw in use were the CH-47, CH-53, AH-64, and UH-60. The 47 was the primary workhorse due to its ability to operate at 10,000 feet.
I'm not giving you my opinion, I'm telling you how it is.

Chinooks & Kioawa light helicopters mounted with a cannon and rockets.
    BANSHEE callsigns-fucking awesome.

When those assholes run out of machinegun ammo and rockets the shoot rifles and pistols from the open door and drop grenades it's retarded.
You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it

I've lost two buddies in helo crashes. One in Afghanistan, one in Iraq.

Taking a helo ride always made me nervous. Grunts and helos do not have a good track record IMO. No thanks to fast roping out of the back of a 46 again...

Word. Its not that they crash often, its that they take everyone with them when they do.
