We will be hosting our Amatuer Championship tournament on May 30th 2009.
This will be our 8th show & our biggest event ever, we have rented an entire Gymnasium with 2 full size wrestling mats and a 20' X 20' 5 roped ring. we will be awarding a ringside championship belt in each adult class listed
149 & >
OPEN(no weight min or max)
Am. Shooto rules open class (34 & under)
Am. Shooto Rules Masters Class (age 35 & over)
Am. Shooto JR rules (14-17 & under no ground striking) trophy!
Am. Extreme Wrestling (AAU Folkstyle17 years & over)
Engraved Ringside Belts for each adult division, trophies for all youth divisions
In addition we will be offering a Huge first place team cup, to sweeten the competition we will place $5 from each entry fee & $5 from each ticket sold into the Cup, the winning team will win the cup & the expense $$$ inside of the cup, the better turnout the more coveted the cup will be!
Entry fee is $35 for one division or $50 for participation in every division you qualify for, we will have an IRON MAN trophy for the fighter who wins the most bouts in the most catagories. & registration includes 2 tickets to the event!
Fighters over age 35 may compete in the open division if they submit a recent doctors physical prior to May 15th of 2009.
Shooto Bouts are pre registeration only, all Shooto fighters must have a confirmed registration by May 1rst of 2009!
Submission Grappling & Extreme Wrestling will be run on a round robin basis, with one bracket for every weight up to 7 grapplers, and & A-B bracket for 8 or more grapplers, so everyone can get as many bouts as possible!
Shooto Rules Tourney will be seeded, seeding criteria will be made avail. to coaches & gym leaders in registration packets!
The tournament is located 2 1/2 hours south west of Boston, 2 hours north of NYC, 1 hour from Albany, and about 1 1/2 hours from Bridgeport Conn. & Burlington vermont.
Our venue seats 800, so tickets will be sold to fighters & grapplers first, we cannot oversell, more direct directions availible with packet!
Best of all 100% of the profit goes to charity, 50% to a boarding school for troubled Boys & 50% to provide Martial arts scholorships to struggling families, this is a great small venue for guys who want to break into MMA! & we literaly cost 1/2 what the big tourny's cost to enter!

You mention the Iron Man trophy. Could you fight in the San Da, Shooto and Sub Wrestling divisions? will the be spaced apart so you can fight in all of them?

expense money joe, in New York we have to call it expense $$, but anyway yes you could that was why we came up with the Iron man award, we thought some of the more hard core guys would like competing in all 3 events!

I am still interested in the over 35 shooto at 209 or possibly heavyweight. What are the rules?
