My intention was just using a timer that I could set a rest period, so that I could work 3 or 2 minute rounds in the heavy bag and set a one minute or 30 seconds break until it started counting again. I'm currently using a mp3 song set to the time but if I want to change the settings (the number of rounds, the rest period) I have to upload another.

sure.
all i did was take the bas rutten workout cd (it has options for boxing, thai boxing, mma, all around workouts) and i ripped it into my itunes so i could put it on my itouch.
the cd is pretty cool cause each cd has two tracks:
1. 2 minute rounds with 1 minute rest
2. 3 minute rounds with 1 minute rest
over the course of the round, they are calling out combos at a pretty good pase. its a killer workout. you can use it to shodowbox, hit the heavybag or i have been using a partner and doing it on thai pads. -

Check this **** out. It is the coolest timer I have ever found. Does everything the big boxing timers do and it clips on your pants or whatever. Small, light, cheaper than the bullshit you will find anywhere else. I would recommend this to anyone that needs anything similar.

You can set one or two times (like work/rest) with up to 99 rounds, set it to vibrate, vibrate and sound, vibrate and loud sound (pretty loud), use beeping or bell sounds, makes you sandwiches while you workout... resistance is futile :new_borgs -
