The media (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/02/sp...l?ref=football) is now reporting that Plaxico shot himself with a Glock .40.

Can anyone think of a way to shoot yourself with a Glock without actually pulling the trigger?--DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!

If he was that friggen concerned about his safety he could have easily hired an off duty cop for security.

That said.. Here we have another ignorant celebrity/athlete.. with a firearm that he did not have a permit to cary.. discharging it in a public avenue, and a hospital that did not report it? Now we hear that the football team may have tried to cover it up?

Ha...to add insult to injury...the cops raided his house (with a warrant) and found unregistered guns, ammo, plus the pants he was wearing the night he was shot (covered in blood). Now to take his side for a moment...I'd be pissed if the cops showed up and tried to take my guns (on the suspicion that they MIGHT not be registered), however if they had access to the gun registry and it showed that Plaxico had nothing registered...then he might be fooked. To add even MORE insult to this idiot, he gets into an accident (his fault) with his $140,000 car--which resulted in the injury of a woman and this dork hasn't paid car insurance in 5 months! Yeah....so in essence, he's screwed.
