RE: Fat neck
I actually spend a good amount of time doing neck training, as I'm sure most folks with any sort of grappling ambitions would be doing (my grappling days are over, it's just vanity for me), so really, the premise of building a big, strong neck shouldn't be thrown out of the equation anyway. Really, buy a neck harness and hit that thing up 2-3 times a week and you'll really put on size.
Funny story: When I was doing 20 rep squats, I knew that I was gonna be way overweight for my next PFT, so I decided to throw in a ton of neckwork to help even the odds. PFT came and I waltz in at 212 for 5'9. They tape me immediately at a 36" waist and an 18" neck.
The MSgt taping my neck was in total disbelief. He was a XC dude, real skinny. He said to me "Does 18" sound right to you?" I just shrugged and said "If that's what the tape says, it's what it says".
Passed that PFT thankfully, haha."Emevas,

I'm still thoroughly confused about this weight thing.
Luckily, it seems like i'm in the clear.
