    I got my copy of supertraining from eliteFTS. I don't know about their shipping rates, but they are one of the few companies that i will try hard to support. They just do so much. If you know someone in the states, you could get it sent there and have them forward it on (or drive it up). Supertraining really is THE basic text. Another option may be getting it used on amazon (i did that with one of Charlie Francis's books).

    I looked again, and the new book is by Verkhoshansky not Zatsiorsky. (I usually confuse the two). I think the book is about the use of "special exercises", which may or may not be useful to you depending on what level you are at. (I am no where close, but if you training is really in line, it might be useful). In the end, if you are looking into periodization texts, Issurin's block training book is also good (I think that it might be on amazon too).

    Tried that, it didn't work out. Also, the point here is to round off my Amazon order, so if Amazon doesn't sell it... but yeah, I'll get a copy sooner or later.

    I'm leaning heavily towards Zatsiorsky right now.

    "Zatsirosky, hands down." <= from my Osteopathish/Mentat buddy.

    He also loved Supertraining. There's a little muscle&CNS memory gem in there about doing a form-rep 0-weight but slowly and with full muscle tension, to the point of fatigue as you go thru it. You fire the same nerve-chains that service fast-twitch muscle but the slow speed lets you get the form correct.

    I use this for training throws, its kind of amazing how well it works.(sorry Russ, thread drift)

    Can explain this technique (in this or a new thread) and how you use it?
